Privacy Policy

We sometimes ask you to give us information about yourself and your family so we can make sure you receive an appropriate service. This policy explains what happens with this information. We have a responsibility to be open about how we use your data. That is the information you provide to us.

Consent

When you contact Dr Earley and associates via this website we will ask you to provide information to help us offer you a service. This may include:

We do not routinely share this information. We do not sell your information or distribute it to third parties. However, there are times when we may need to share it, in the course of offering services for example:

  • any stated purposes we tell you about when you supply us with information
  • as part of our duty to protect a child, a vulnerable adult, yourself or the public
  • for the prevention and detection of a crime
  • if we are required to do so by any court or law

This may include your internet protocol addresses, browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, time zone setting and location, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this site.

Withdrawing consent

At your first appointment you will be asked to sign consent for Dr Earley and associates to hold data. Even if you sign the consent form, you still have the right to withdraw your consent. You should inform us of this in writing.

What do we use it for?

Sensitive personal information

We may also use some of the information you provide us with for other reasons, such as to:

  • help us plan services for your future
  • maintain records
  • respond to any enquiries you make
  • administer any events in which you participate or wish to participate in
  • account for our decisions and investigate complaints
  • meet our statutory obligations, for example visits by our own regulators
  • identify and protect those at risk of harm
  • ensure the accuracy of our records
  • prevent and detect crime
  • protect you and other people

Technical Data

We may process Aggregated Data from your personal data but this data does not reveal your identity and as such in itself is not personal data. An example of this is where we review your Usage Data to work out the percentage of website users using a specific feature of our site. If we link the Aggregated Data with your personal data so that you can be identified from it, then it is treated as personal data.

Information Security

We recognise that the information you provide may be sensitive and we will respect your confidentiality. We keep information about you confidential. This means we store it securely according to our professional guidance and data protection law and control who has access to it. We will not share any information where we are not legally required to do so.

We will only share such information as necessary, and where we are satisfied that the other organisation is entitled to receive it and will keep your information secure.

We keep your information such as clinical notes for six years following the end of our contact, however if an enquiry made through the website is not progressed and we do not offer a service then the information you provide will be deleted within six months of the enquiry.

Corrections and inaccuracies

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We reserve the right to make a nominal charge for this. If you believe that information we hold about you is incorrect or out of date, or if you have concerns about how we are handling your personal information, please contact us and we will try to resolve those concerns.

If you wish to have your personal information deleted, please let us know and we will take reasonable steps to delete it (unless we need to keep it for legal, auditing or internal risk management reasons).

If we become aware of any ongoing concerns or problems concerning our privacy practices, we will take these issues seriously and work to address them.

Data Controller

Dr Louise Earley has responsibility as the data controller. Occasionally other professionals who work with Dr Earley may have access to information relating to a child or family. They will be bound by the terms of this policy.
